BiG nEwS!!!

battle at the bridge will be held at a bandshell that's next to the water and you can see the bridge from the shell! it will be a great time. the most visited spot in Michigan for labor day weekend it racks in around 60,000 people each year! we're still looking for some bands but not for long! so ASAP us via email (grmichapter@yahoo.com)!! GOOD NEWS!!!

the location for battle at the bridge is on it's way! everything is looking great & we think they'll let us play where we hoped to play at. we're not suppose to say where that place is yet because nothing is official. it all looks great though and we should probably know by the middle of Jan. '06! Shlee will be heading up there in Jan or Feb to talk with the youth group and get them hyped about it!

Battle At The Bridge Update

battle at the bridge will be a big concert with lots of great bands, all chapter ppl's and bands just chillin and rockin out. the actual venue for the concert is not official yet. we are strugling to find a place. (we will still play some where, this event will not be canceled). SARMS is helping greatly. we ask for your prayers in this long process as we hit some pretty hard obstacles. we're still looking for some more bands to consider. if ur interested email shlee at grmichapter@yahoo.com . we've had a lot of great ppl already help and we thank u all for it, a special thanks to Joe, Joel, Moose, and in general WayFM (89.9 & 88.3 GR and Kalamazoo), mrs. we're collecting ANYTHING for a garage sale. we'll collect all year round. we'll take shoes, books, clothes, stuffed animals, furniture, A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G! we will pick things up as well 55% of money made will go to the rockforlife head quarters in VA. the other 45% will be used for the chapter's expences. here's how were doig right now-

if u came to this site off random, sent here, or we commented on ur xanga this is who we are: we are teens/ young adults (age wise or at heart) who spread the pro-life message through rock music. +check interest for some of the bands we l-o-v-e+. we go to rock concerts and set up a table with pro-life merch and free literature, we talk to teens about the TRUTH about abortion. we also are planning events as a group to just have fun! we are the grand rapids chapter but anyone from around the area is of course welcome! any questions or want more info email Shlee at grmichapter@yahoo.com

[For members & people willing to help a extra step]
Christmas is coming up – yay!!. But for some children Christmas day is just another day. Many people know about the Operation Christmas Child project. Many churches and school help with this program. But the Grand Rapids Chapter wants to make this a special event! We don’t just care about the pre-born babies but we also care about the babies that are born that grow up to be children. We want to care for all life- pre-born and born. This could be the only present they get all year. If it’s through money donation or an actual box the chapter would love it! Even a dollar could change a child of no-hope to a child with hope. The chapter is very small but we don’t want to pass up any opportunity. This is a great way to reach a child. Again, if you’re doing it for your Church or school…wonderful! But if you have a dollar or two to spare the chapter would love to get at least one box out to help- donations, a toy itself, or even a box could change a child’s world upside down. Please, let’s look at the big picture and care for all life and make a difference. A final end date to get all donations, toys, and boxes in by will come later.
Donations- donations collected will be used to buy toys that will be put into a box- these donations are not used for the chapter’s actual donation fund. 100% of these donations will be put into Operation Christmas Child.
Toys- the toys that are donated will be mixed with hygiene products and put in a box to ship off. Toys that won’t break or are dangerous are ideal.
Hygiene products- along with toys we encourage hygiene products. These kids can’t just go buy toothpaste when they need to. The products donated will be mixed with toys in a box to ship off.
Box- a full box donated would rock! Just be sure to mark it a boy or girl box. Try to mix the box with hygiene products along with unbreakable or dangoeus toys. EMAIL US TO GET WAYS TO GET IT TO THE CHAPTER

hey guys! some great news...*drum roll* the chapter is ordering some shirts! this is not just for members...any1 may buy one!

*this shirt come in two sayings- 'abortion is mean' OR 'abortion is homicide' - you of course may pick what saying you want

the back of each shirt saying and color will say-

these shirts r for sale for $17 - if you order stright off ALL they are 15 bucks but shipping will be about 4-5 bucks extra. so really buying it through here is cheaper PLUS a few good ol' Washingtons fed back into the chapters donation fund- not a cent is profit.

size comparission- theyare 100% cotton so will shrink not to much though. i found the med are a tad big..so i think the brand runs bigger than most. ashley already has a shirt that is a small - shes around 5'6 and 110-115 lbs and a small fit very nicely. if you order one and it doesnt fit contact us again and we'll see what we can do.

these shirts are great conversation starters and spread the message in a great way!!
